About 70% of funerals in the UK are cremations, so it is a very popular option for a funeral. We can help you to choose a crematorium, arrange the necessary paperwork and book convenient dates.

Unlike burial you don’t have to choose a crematorium owned by the same local authority where the deceased resided.

It’s possible to have a service in a church or other place of worship prior to attending the crematorium, or you can arrange to have all of the service at the crematorium chapel. The service in the crematorium chapel can be religious or non-religious or you can conduct your own service and we can help and advise on all of the options. We work with many funeral celebrants, ministers and places of worship and if you need help selecting someone, we can help with this.

It is usually possible to have an extended service time if you wish but there will be an extra charge to the crematorium authority.

 

There are several options for simple or direct services.

 

Our Traditional Cremation service includes your choice of date and time of funeral for a 50 minute service, (availability permitting), your choice of coffin, celebrant, vehicles and music. We include embalming, dressing and viewing as standard.

 

Our Simple Cremation service allows you to choose the date of the 20 minute service on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday at 10am or 10.30am. You can choose a celebrant and music but our Simple Cremation package does not include embalming, viewing or alternative choice of coffin.

 

Our Direct Cremation service is usually unattended and takes place between 9-10am at a date of our choosing. There is no viewing or choice of coffin but it is a gentle and dignified farewell.

 

In all cases, the cremated remains will be ready for us or you to collect within a week of the funeral and will be packaged by the crematorium staff in a cardboard urn. We offer a great selection of alternative urns but you can also buy your own urn or jewellery elsewhere and we can transfer the cremated remains for you for no extra charge.
